Tony Politano is Senior Vice President and Senior Client Investment Officer within the Multi-Manager Investment Outsourcing practice, Tony is responsible for managing investment programs for institutional clients, including Defined Benefit pension plans and foundations. His focus is on investment strategy development, portfolio construction, risk management and overall program oversight. He is also a voting member of the Canadian Investment Oversight Committee, which is responsible for reviewing and approving client portfolio strategy and investment manager ratings.
Tony’s involvement with institutional investors spans 20 years with experience gained in the areas of institutional investment consulting, investment manager research, plan sponsorship, investment management and pension custody. He is a reputable industry professional, with a proven ability to advise institutional clients and deliver meaningful investment results. Prior to joining Northern Trust in August 2015, Tony was a Senior Investment Consultant at Aon Hewitt for nearly 12 years, providing investment advisory to private and public pension plans, insurance companies and foundations with assets ranging from $20 million to $15 billion.
Tony graduated from the University of Toronto Bachelor of Commerce Program, he is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the Toronto CFA Society. He is also registered as an Advising and Dealing Representative.
