OPENING KEYNOTE: Climate Change and Stewardship

What is keeping endowment managers, trustees and finance teams awake at night?

Meeting your organisation’s mandates, both responsibly and financially, is a major source of concern across the industry. How valid are these concerns?  What can be done to protect returns, enhance diversification, while still acting as a responsible steward of multi-generational assets. How can we obtain critical information as to whether it might be possible to:
•         Avoid lower returns by skewing away from typical index-driven allocations and thinking?
•         Build back diversification by including more alternatives and private market options?
•         Enhance your organisation’s finances and reputation though stewardship?
•         Avoid unprofitable short-term fashions, while embracing profitable secular trends?
