Nickolaas van der Velde is the Finance Manager at Indwell, a Hamilton-based charity that develops and currently operates 1,200 units of supportive, affordable housing in South and Southwestern Ontario. In 2023, Nickolaas celebrated a decade of working in the social impact sector – this work includes starting several social enterprises and social finance initiatives and a total raise to date of $91M. Nick is experienced in FP&A, funding procurement and leading small teams. In his spare time, Nick is a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and shares life with his partner, Amanda and puppy, Soju.
