Beau Madsen joined RISE in 2018 and is Chief Investment Officer, reporting to the CEO and responsible for sourcing and executing the firm’s acquisition activities. Beau is also responsible for sourcing the firm’s joint venture equity from leading global institutional and private equity funds.
Beau executes RISE’s 9 stage acquisition process: sourcing, evaluation/pursuit, capitalization, legal agreements, diligence processes, investment committee & board approvals, financings, closings and project handoffs to our asset management teams.
Prior to joining RISE, Beau was Investment Manager at Security Properties in Seattle {2013 – 2017), a multi-Family operator with a national footprint. Over a 5-year period at Security Properties, Beau worked his way through various roles from investment intern to investment manager and worked with Barrett Sigmund, CEO of RISE – a benefit in the investment process as our team is aligned on the types of investments we wish to pursue.
Beau has been responsible for the capitalization of $1 billion in acquisition activity for RISE and over $2 billion in his career. He has also played active roles in asset management, redevelopment, and recapitalizations with RISE. Beau holds a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Washington (2014), the CFA designation (2018), and CPA designation (2024). Beau is the Treasurer of the Spokane, WA CFA Society.
