Director of Corporate, Individual, and Foundation Giving at The WoodGreen Foundation, Kathy Koch drives strategic engagement via two equally important objectives – corporate and community awareness building and major gift fundraising. In her time at WoodGreen she has redesigned their Corporate Engagement strategy, increasing the quality of engagement experiences for the benefit of WoodGreen clients, team members, volunteers, and partners. The benefit of her success in building long-term relationships was evident during COVID when many partners stepped forward to support and new donors materialized when WoodGreen most needed their help.
Kathy is co-leading a $20M Major Gift Campaign, the most ambitious campaign in WoodGreen’s 80-year history. She has also created a Young Leaders Council for The WoodGreen Foundation to engage the next generation of philanthropists in our city. The goal is for this group to assist in building awareness within the young professional demographic, and they benefit from the knowledge of our incredible Boards and thought leadership on key issues in social service. In just one year, the group has engaged over 300 participants, most of whom had little or no awareness of WoodGreen initially.
Kathy’s experience marries sales and fundraising, and she has worked in for-profit, social enterprise and not-for-profit organizations. In each role she achieved targets and drove growth by focusing on the client experience, building long-term relationships, and creative internal and external partnerships.
