Erica is Director of Solutions Finance at The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation, where she leads strategies for financial innovation and for integration of the Foundation’s financial assets to support social and economic system’s transformation.
She oversees the management of a multi-asset impact investing portfolio (current size: $86M AUM), including blended finance approaches; and ESG integration within the Foundation’s larger endowment ($650M). In her time at the foundation she has led the development of national initiatives including the Foundation’s Social Innovation Fund (current size: $1 SM) which offers capacity building grants for social innovation organizations that are at early stages of development or scaling. As head of the Solutions Finance department, she works on the creation of new financial models to help scale high impact social and financial innovations.
Erica joined the Foundation with 13 years of global professional experience in the private sector and international development, primarily in Latin America, Canada and the UK. She sits on Advisory Boards of various investment funds in Canada, of organizations working in social innovation globally, and is adviser for international development projects. She is a member of the Global Steering Group for Impact Investing. She co-founded Educating the Streets-Building Society, an award winning program
for capabilities development of youth and working children in Bolivia. She is a Board member of Bosques Foundation (Bolivia), focused on adaptation and mitigation to climate change, development of sustainable community economies, and forestry-productive development projects. She completed undergraduate studies in behavioral psychology and neuroscience, holds a MPA in Public and Economic Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She specializes in innovation and systems dynamics for inclusive economic development.
