Shareholder and Stakeholder Theory
Understanding the Evolving Role of Corporate Values and Impact on Returns
Shareholder theory has evolved over the past 50 + years. During the Post WWII years, workers and companies shared prosperity. That changed through the 1970s and beyond with declining union power, higher inequality and a widening gap between CEOs and workers. With recent upheavals and extreme catalysts for change, corporate mission statements are being assessed with more scrutiny. Gain insights into:
· How this awareness is changing investor behavior
· Examples of recent corporate actions that demonstrate a broader view to ‘stakeholders’
· How sustainability, employee and executive pay influences long-term profitability and returns
· What happens next: from Governments, Companies, and Investors
